Who do I dislike more "the man" or myself?

The thunderous outrage and sustained call for justice over the brutal killing of Michael Brown by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri fails to conceal an equally enormous elephant in the room: the often savage black-on-black crime and violence that takes place within the poorest neighborhoods all across America.

If we are unwilling to reasonably find the way toward saving ourselves then what does that possibly say to others about what they can expect from us as a group of people?

In the end, who is the prey and who is the predator in an increasingly complex and dangerous concrete jungle? You needn't perceive yourself as either. If you haven't already been doing so, then start your day right now by telling yourself, "I Am Somebody" and when you say this, be sure to lean into it like you mean it!

Permit me to affirm that YOU ARE SOMEBODY!!! - JD
